Product Information

The Fujitsu SP-1120 document scanner, available now from TheScannerShop.com is a 20ppm A4 document scanner which is also capable of scanning plastic cards as well as thin (50 gsm) to thick (209 gsm) paper.

The ADF is able to hold 50 sheets of standard thickness (80gsm) A4 paper at a time.

Included with the Fujitsu SP-1120 will be the PaperStream IP software drivers as well as ABBYY FineReader Sprint.

A bit more from Fujitsu on the PaperStream IP:

PaperStream IP is the scanner driver for the SP Series. In addition to being fully compliant with the industry standard TWAIN and ISIS interface, PaperStream IP incorporates as standard, highly sophisticated image processing that automatically applies features such as noise removal, background pattern removal and character augmentation to produce exceptionally clear, high quality images that are suitable for direct import into the users’ workflow.
PaperStream IP has an intuitive, easy to use interface that can be switched between Administrator or User mode to simplify the scanning process and reduce user error.
Additionally PaperStream IP also introduces a new Assisted Scanning mode, which allows the user to visually select the best quality image from a range of images of the page, rather than needing to manually fine tune the scanning parameters one by one.

A Answers

Hello Peter, Good question. Whilst the SP range does not have the wifi capabilities of the ScanSnap range, they do offer good value and lower costs. In addition, the ScanSnap range offer an all-in-one multi function scanning software suite, whereas the SP range offer Paperstream IP which enhances the image quality of your scanned document and allows for better control when sharing documents
