Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our website or use the search function until you find what you want. Click on Add to Cart and then enter the quantity that you require. A running total will appear of what you have ordered. You can continue to add more items or remove some at any time. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. You can change the contents of your basket or cancel your order at any time - as your request is not confirmed until you enter payment details.
Payment & Currencies
We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. These are processed online using the Sage Protx & PayPal secure payment service. Prices are shown in Great British Pounds Sterling. Credit cards are pre-authorised immediately using the Sage Protx & PayPal secure system. As part of our commitment to the security of our customers we may contact you to request further validation of your details.
Please note that all goods must be paid for in full before shipping.
Where necessary, purchase taxes are included in the price. Should you require a tax receipt for your order please request this by e-mail and quote your order number. The buyer is solely responsible for any import duty, import taxes or other incidental charges that may apply to their particular country or state.
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card details are processed using the Sage Protx & PayPal secure transaction system. Details are not stored on the Internet or on any of our own computers.
This web site is fully integrated with Sage Protx & PayPal, one of the leading secure payment systems. Sensitive information is only requested on pages that are located on the Sage Protx & PayPal secure servers and this information cannot be accessed or viewed by anyone else.
Using the Sage Protx & PayPal system, your credit card information remains safely in the hands of you and Sage Protx & PayPal. No-one else has access to this.
Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch to you of the Products ordered, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions. Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
* The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
* Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
* The identification of a pricing or product description error
* Your failure to meet the eligibility to order criteria as set out in the Terms and Conditions
Your privacy and trust is important to us and we will treat any details you provide us with respectfully. We do not participate in unsolicited mailing (and avoid working with those who do), and will never give your contact information to other organisations unless legally required to do so.

Standard Delivery to the UK Mainland
Standard delivery items will be sent by the Royal Mail First Class delivery service or other suitable courier services. Item(s) will require a signature from you upon arrival. This service gives you peace of mind that your item(s) will arrive safely and direct into your possession. All orders placed before 2pm should be delivered next working day. In the unlikely event that this is not possible, we would email you to advise you of the likely delay.
If you have realised that the product you have ordered is not the product you require, and would like to return your order after delivery, we're happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it's unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 7 days after delivery.
On receipt of goods, please notify us by telephone and e-mail immediately, stating your reason, for return of the product.
You are entitled to a refund as long as you return your goods within 7 working days from the day of delivery. The goods must in an 'as new' condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging, along with any accessories received with it.
The product must not have been used or installed. Whilst the goods are in your possession you must take reasonable care of them and not use them. DVDs, CDs, and software must still be sealed.
We suggest that you use a signed for delivery service and use recorded delivery should you wish your items to be insured. If recorded delivery is not used, we cannot accept responsibility for any returns sent.
Products out of stock - From time to time, if our supplies run low,we occasionally purchase through our 3rd party customers, all goods continue to include manufacturers warranty as detailed below.
Products, excluding spare parts or consumables, are supplied with the manufacturers warranty.
Defective products (defined as defect in material or workmanship) within the warranty period, can be returned to The Scanner Shop.
If the product has been altered or modified in any way, such as the removal or replacement of parts, this will void the warranty.
Following on from the GDPR legislation coming into effect from 25th May 2018, please note, no personal data or access to your personal data, is held or obtained,on any of our Systems & Servers within our company. If you request our systems team to access your PC’s, Systems or Servers, this is only allowed, at your request & permission. Following on from your request, no data or personal information is downloaded or held within our Systems.
