The Epson Workforce DS-530ii is an A4 sheetfed scanner with an ADF that is capable of handling 50 sheets at a time, whilst the scanner has a optimum scan speed of up to 35 pages-per-minute or 70 images-per-minute. The connectivity of the Epson Workforce DS-530 is via the single High-speed USB 3.0 port that is also backwards compatible with USB 1 & 2 connections (though the scanning speed will be lower if it is not connected to a USB 3 port). Epson supply both TWAIN & ISIS drivers with the Workforce DS-530ii scanner.
Launching an Industry-first, Epson have a key new feature in their slow mode that slows scan speed to avoid damaging crumpled or fragile documents, a feature they have also made easy to turn on and off.
With the launch of the Workforce DS-530ii, Epson have also launched the Optional Flatbed Scanner Unit - This unit can be purchased separetly at the same time or a later date. Easy to connect and no additional drivers or software/driver updates required. The optional flatbed scanner conversion kit allows effective document scanning and processing, scanning anything from stamps to passports, books and more.
The (ASRS) Active Separation Roller System helps prevent the unwanted problem of double feeding documents and making sure every sheet of paper gets scanned, whilst working with the (DFDS) Double Feed Detection Skip system to help you scan difficult documents like sheets of paper that have sticky notes attached or envelopes that would normally cause either paper jams or other Double Feed Detection systems to stop the scanning process.
Auto Scan Mode enables you to process large quantity of documents as manageable amounts and enabling them to all be scanned in as one file.
Single-pass double-sided scanning ensures rapid document processing, while it's possible to scan a versatile array of media such as paper as thin as 27gsm, or thick card at 413gsm.
The A3 carrier sheet speeds up the process by automatically stitching larger documents back together digitally.
It's not just the scanner, or the drivers. Epson has always been aware that not everyone has an existing Document capture solution, so they've always ensured their scanners come with an industry leading suite of scanner software, such as Epson Scan 2.0 software that will make it easy to edit images with features such as deskew, auto rotate, while their Epson Document Capture Pro software offers an easy-to-use solution for capturing and storing electronic documents at the touch of a button.
